Independent Hotel Show 2017

Aquavision will be exhibiting their latest models for the hospitality industry at the Independent Hotel Show, Olympia, London next month. As the originator of bathroom televisions, we an enviable list of top hotels which have installed our products.

Hotel guests are becoming more discerning than ever and expect 4 and 5 star hotel bathrooms to be equipped with the latest technologies.  It is not sufficient in 2017 to have a speaker in the bathroom, so the guest can ‘hear’ what is on the television in the main bedroom or suite.  Guests expect it to be the ‘norm’ to be able to luxuriate in the bath and watch television.

We launched out first waterproof bathroom television twenty years ago.  At that time there were only five models available, and as the technology was so new – they were pretty expensive, and only the very wealthy could afford them.  Twenty years on and Aquavision now has four ranges in eight sizes within budgets to suit all.  They are installed in hundreds of hotels around the world including Hilton Group, Firmdale Hotels, Radisson Hotels, Q Hotels, Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Exclusive Hotels, Buddha Bar Hotels, Belmond Hotels, The Address Hotel and countless independent boutique hotels.

All Aquavision televisions are manufactured in their own factory in the UK and feature heated screens to avoid misting up.  The televisions are suitable to install in bathrooms, showers and wet rooms as they are fully waterproof to IP66 rating and carry a two year in-home warranty as standard (in the UK).  The TVs can be supplied with MirrorVision glass– when the television is switched off, the glass takes the form of a mirror that is suitable for shaving, make-up etc.  When it is turned on, the mirror gives way to the television screen.

As the televisions are installed into the wall they are probably part of an overall design for the bathroom.  With the fast developing pace of technology, and hotels often wanting to boast the latest models, Aquavision will support all previous models and supply up-grade kits, which will fit into the original hole in the wall. This ensures minimal disruption with no requirement to close down a suiteAll televisions can be programmed to go into ‘hotel mode’. This feature allows the hotel to set functions such as initial volume, maximum volume, initial channel, picture status memory and sound status memory etc.  An added benefit to hotels is that the opening screen can be personalised to automatically display the hotel logo or any other message when the TV is switched on.  Of course all models are compatible with the major hotel TV content providers such as iBahn, Exterity and Quadriga.

Waterproof remote controls do come with the television – but as these sometimes appear to grow legs, hotel owners  might prefer the remote switch panel installed into a simple “One Gang” back box, the same size as a normal light switch, the switch panel provides the operator with simple, discrete, and permanent operation of the basic functions.
